This month’s roundup covers the latest innovations and developments from Japan’s SaaS industry, including a ¥6.4bn Series B and acquisition by real estate brokerage platform Facilo, a ¥2bn raise for field operations app KANNA, the Tokyo Stock Exchange listing of clinic DX provider Layered and a ¥300m Series A for agricultural distribution cloud Kikitori.
Facilo Raises ¥6.4bn in Series B and Acquires AI Valuation Firm Collabit
BRIDGE reported (in Japanese) that Facilo, a Tokyo-based provider of a communication cloud for real estate brokers, closed a ¥6.4bn Series B on September 17. The round was led by Globis Capital Partners and combines ¥3.9bn in equity, ¥1.8bn in debt and a ¥700m credit facility, bringing cumulative funding to about ¥8.3bn. Facilo also made Collabit, which runs the AI property valuation services HowMa and AI Satei Pro, a group company. The platform is used by more than 2,300 brokerage offices and 13,000 sales reps and Facilo plans further M&A to broaden its product lineup.
Aldagram Raises ¥2bn to Turn KANNA into a Field AI Platform
PR Times reported (in Japanese) that Aldagram, developer of the field operations app KANNA, raised ¥2bn in a Series B round on September 2. Existing shareholders JAFCO Group, MonotaRO and Panasonic Electric Works backed the round, which brings total funding to about ¥5.13bn. KANNA handles project management and digital reporting for construction, real estate and manufacturing and is used by more than 100,000 companies in over 100 countries in six languages. The company will spend the funds on AI agents, integrations with outside systems and overseas expansion.
Layered Lists on the Tokyo Stock Exchange with Clinic DX SaaS
Diamond ZAi reported (in Japanese) that Layered, a Fukuoka-based provider of digital tools for medical clinics, listed on the TSE Standard Market on September 25. Shares opened at ¥2,230, 59% above the ¥1,400 offering price. Layered’s products include the web patient intake form Symview, the booking system Wakumy and an automated phone response system and 5,929 medical institutions used them as of June 2026. The company reported ¥1.98bn in revenue and ¥337m in operating profit for the fiscal year ending June 2026, with subscriptions making up 55% of revenue.
Kikitori Closes ¥300m Series A for Agricultural Distribution Cloud
STARTUP LOG reported (in Japanese) that Kikitori, a Tokyo-based developer of the agricultural distribution platform Nimaru, raised ¥300m in a Series A round on September 17. Globis Capital Partners and Agribusiness Investment & Consultation led the round. Nimaru replaces fax and phone ordering between producers, wholesalers and retailers with shared data on shipments and inventory. It has more than 300,000 registered farmers and over 200 distribution companies. Japan’s produce supply chain still runs largely on paper and phone calls and Kikitori is also launching a Nimaru Trading Platform to connect growing regions with consumer markets.
